A novel idea for the 4 1/2 month old. . .face forward in the carrier! He's never BEEN so happy. He was kicking his legs and talking to everyone he saw. Brillant. :) (I know, we're a little late on the bandwagon - rookie parents.)

Ok for those who dont' have a baby - this may look like just an ordinary picture. . .but really, it's a gigantic moment in infant history! My little boy FINALLY got his head up...and as you can see, he's as shocked as all of us! All the tummy time is paying off. I have my own tummy time too...but it constitutes me doing sit ups to get rid of my 'tummy.' ;) I don't dare share a picture of that. We'll stick to ones of the baby.

My bad, everyone. Sorry I've been so behind on the blogging. I'm so behind, I hear the other Spears girl is expecting! Where has the time gone! Well, we just got back from "the motherland" (Hawaii) where Tevin got to put his feet in the beautiful sand and ocean for the first time. He got so used to going barefoot there that now we are struggling with re-introducing him to socks.

So, as you can see, little guy has graduated from wearing his pajamas all day to actual big boy clothes. This is a grand moment in history. Gotta just love those newborn khakis.
So, while on maternity leave, I've become addicted to the TLC channel. I've never watched it before....and now I can't get enough of it. My guilty pleasure show? Jon and Kate plus 8.
WOW. These kids are THE CUTEST. It's hysterical! Definitely check it out. Kind of makes you want to have sextuplets. But then again, I've got my hands full with just one!

In other news. . Tevin received a visit from the one and only Marcus D. Believe me, he (Marcus) looks very relaxed here. . .but it took him about 30 minutes to get that way. Otherwise, you'd think he was handling a glass piece by Chihuly.

So, I love camera phones. More than ever now. Poor little guy, now he knows how celebs feel when the papparazzi gets them! I should really get a job at TMZ.
Anyways, we are 2 weeks in, and though sleep deprived, mommy-hood is treating us well. Of course, we're still getting used to everything, but boy is it worth it all!
The two men in my life. Nothing cuter than a true father son moment, eh? We're hoping to see EVERYBODY at JBB this year!! I'm SO stoked for Timbaland!!!!!

BABY BLOG: 10/8/07 - HELLO WORLD! HERE I AM!
Tevin was born at 4:12 AM on Thursday, October 4th, 2007. He weighed in at a proud 7 lbs. 14 oz., his height 19.5 inches! He arrived via an emergency C-section, leaving Dad enough time to put on some scrubs and join Mommy and the doctors for his grand entrance in the early morning hours! Dad was so excited he wanted to tell someone right away. . .so no better people to share the good news with than Jackie and Bender! *(we heard he made news headlines that day. . .next to Britney losing custody)
We'd like to thank everyone for their well wishes, thoughts and prayers! We're up to our ears in bottles, diapers, and round the clock feedings, but we feel so blessed in our new family!

BABY BLOG: 10/2/07 BABY COMING TOMORROW!
Hey everyone! Sorry it's taken me so long to get something up on my page. For those who don't know. . I'm on maternity leave and I've been waiting for the little one to arrive. He's about 2 days overdue, so we're going to help him out a little and hopefully get things started tomorrow at the hospital! Make way for the 'island baby!'
Keep me in your thoughts and prayers - this is my first one and of course I'm feeling everything from excitement, anxiety and everything in between! I'll be sure to post plenty of pics in the upcoming weeks, so little island baby can be introduced to each and every one of you! I'll be in touch!
